The Villagers record a fine win by beating Bishop Auckland Reserves 7-2.

With yet again several changes to the squad Wolviston F.C. took on a must win 6 pointer against fellow relegation strugglers Bishop Auckland Reserves. The visitors started on the front foot and Wolvo couldn't get into any rhythm and it took until the 30th min for any discernible action from the home team when Callum Blair had the ball in the net but was ruled out for offside. Chris Davidson in the home goal came to Wolvos rescue when making a superb save from danger man Mahamat. This was followed by a cross from Bishops Lucas Hallimond which was headed wide at the far post by Jay Bell. Wolvo replied in the 40th min with a powerful header from Chris Cotterill which was tipped over the bar for a corner by keeper Luke Bell. Wolvo took the lead with a minute of the half remaining after a free kick by Stewart Bath found Matty Wilshaw who swept the ball goalwards but his effort hit the post and Callum Blair was on hand to sweep home the rebound from point blank range.
H.T. 1-0
The 2nd half commenced with Wolvo looking for the all important 2nd goal which came on 50 mins after Blair passed to Mitchell Noble who kept his composure to find the bottom corner of the net. 2 mins later Wilshaw found himself clean through but shot high and wide. He soon made amends a minute later after Robbie Gratton found him with a superb pass and this time made no mistake in finding the net. On 56 mins a tremendous through ball from Wilshaw found Callum Blair who turned and stroked past keeper Bell for Wolvos 4th goal. Bishops pulled a goal back on 59 mins after Reece Marsden put Mahamat clear who slotted under the body of Davidson. 3 mins later some football magic by Blair created a chance for Robbie Gratton who thundered home with his left foot to record his first goal of the season. Bishops were awarded a free kick on 65 mins for a foul by Davidson outside the box and Luca Sartini drove home from 20 yards to reduce the arrears. On 82 mins a through ball from Noble found sub Mikey McGee who burst clear to slot home Wolvos 6th. The speedy striker completed the scoring with 3 mins remaining when nimble feet by Kai Wright put him clear and Mikey McGee slotted home from an acute angle.
