What a day for the mighty Wolvo!

On the hallowed turf of The Vic – home of Hartlepool United – our Under 10 Girls stepped out in the Hart of Our Club 1908 Hartlepool Youth Alliance tournament, supported by Her Game Too. With big stadium vibes and an even bigger team spirit, Wolviston were ready to make their mark.

There were just four teams in this high-quality contest, meaning three tight 30-minute games stood between us and a place in the final. And wow – our girls turned up!

Undefeated. Unbelievable. Unstoppable.
Three games, no defeats, and just one goal conceded – a defensive record to be proud of! Despite our unbeaten run, the final match of the group stage ended in dramatic fashion with a last-kick winner that tipped the table against us. So close to the final, but what a statement from the girls. Grit, guts and loads of guile.

Match Highlights:

• The team were rock solid at the back all day. Special mention to Frankie, who took one for the team playing out of position and still smashed it!
• Midfield battled hard and kept the ball moving with purpose.
• Up front, we created chance after chance – only the shorter pitches and goals kept the scoreboard from ticking more.
• Olivia in goal? Outrageous. One save in particular had jaws on the floor. Heroics!
• Every player ran their socks off and backed each other to the final whistle.

Coach’s words: “We’re starting to look very solid. Ten games unbeaten and only one goal conceded – that’s absolutely class. Big shout out to the girls playing out of position today – and Liv’s save? Unreal!”

Massive thanks to the Hart of Our Club, Hartlepool Utd, Her Game Too and the Hartlepool Youth Alliance for a brilliant day – and for giving grassroots girls' football a stage like no other.
