It was a huge ask for Wolviston FC to beat fellow strugglers Shotton CW by six clear goals but the lads did the Club proud and went out to win the game from the off. Wolvo took the lead after only 10 mins when a long ball from the right from Matty Wilshaw found Mitchell Noble via Mikey McGee and he smashed the ball home like a rocket. 5 mins later Noble became the hero again but this time by clearing off the Wolviston line from a shot by Ryley Johnson. On 22 mins McGee flew down the left and crossed to Noble but Shotton keeper Mason Beckett made a full length diving save. On 25 mins a Callum Blair shot was saved with the rebound falling to Wilshaw but his shot was also blocked by full back Lancelot Brightwell. Shotton counter attacked and a vicous shot from Daniel Turner was incredibly tipped over the bar by Wolviston keeper Chris Davidson.

5 mins into the 2nd period a corner by Stewart Bath was nudged goalwards by Paul Rodham but inches wide followed by Chris Cotterill heading over from a corner by Bath. Wolvistons 2nd goal came in the 56th min with a 20 yard accurate free kick by Mikey McGee whose shot past an unsighted keeper Beckett. 5 mins later a full length diving save by Beckett prevented Noble from scoring his 2nd of the game. Shotton pulled a goal back in the 1st min of added on time after a quick break and Carl O'Sullivan finding himself in oceans of space to strike firmly home.
