For the second match on the trot Wolviston Manager Paul Larkin had to make 10 changes but this time strengthening up the team for this local derby. Wolviston started on the front foot and after only 4 mins a corner by Robbie Gratton found Lewis Snaith who in turn passed to Andy Jennings whose first time volley was saved by Pools keeper Adam Legg. In return Pools launched a counter attack on 11 mins with Luca Hearn finding Toby Mulvihill but his strong first time shot was brilliantly saved by 16 year old Kallen Waterman in the Wolvo goal. A minute later a tremendous pass by Lewis Snaith found Jennings in space but he blazed over. A minute later the big striker was brought down in the box by Joe Purvis and Jae Wilson successfully converted the spot kick to give the visitors the lead. On 35 mins a flash shot from Pools Cody Hoyland went well wide. A minute later a great ball from Gratton found Callum Blair but his shot was well saved by Legg. On 37 mins a throw in from Alex Snaith found Jennings who in turn found Jamie Roberts who nodded on for Lewis Snaith to head home from close range. With the minutes ticking away Hearn burst clear for Pools but shot high over the bar.

Pools started to get more into the game in the 2nd period without really testing the Wolviston defence. On 66 mins a free kick taken by Alex Snaith fell to Jamie Roberts who hit a first time volley which was clawed away by Legg. This was followed a minute later with the Pools stopper saving point blank from another shot by Roberts. Pools hit the bar on 75 mins with a looping header from Olly Bowman with the home side trying to rescue something from the game. With 5 mins remaining a corner by Alex Snaith was flicked on to Jennings who from 5 yards out somehow blasted over the bar. In the 86th min Wolviston ex player Luca Hearn was dismissed by referee John Mason for serious foul play.
