Due to referee Andrew Sidebottom having to drop out of the game due to personal problems Wolvos game at League leaders Ferryhill Ath was thrown into doubt as to whether it would go ahead. The refs group chat was put into operation and eventually Daniel Quinn became available to take charge with the game being delayed by 30 mins. The game opened quite evenly before Ferryhill went in front on 12 mins. A long clearance from Alex Quinn found Jack Wilson but despite a last ditch tackle by Nathan Dale the big striker still managed to stroke home to put Ferryhill in front. In reply on 17 mins Callum Blair tried a 25 yard shot but his effort was comfortably saved by home keeper Luke Thompson. Ferryhill saw 2 efforts, one off target and one blocked from Kieran Richardson and Michael Hull before Nathan Dale for Wolvo saw his shot saved. On the stroke of half time Joe Simpson found Louis Evans on the run but his effort went wide of the target.

3 mins into the 2nd period Ferryhills Ryan Telford burst through but Kallen Waterman in the visitors goal made a confident save. 4 mins later however Ferryhill increased their lead with a quick counter attack that resulted in Kieran Richardson shooting home across the dive of keeper Waterman. On 70 mins a blatant double foul on Bailey Geldart went unpunished by ref Daniel Quinn which allowed Ellis Hare to score from an acute angle to put Ferryhill well in control of the game. With 10 mins remaining Waterman produced a great save from a strong shot from sub Chris Divine. Wolvos walking wounded with 4 players on the pitch limping and all subs used tried extremely hard to get something from the game but lady luck and madame fate were unkind.
