Wolviston F.C. took a good strong squad through to Gateshead to face Leam Rangers and came away triumphantly with all three points. Leam started off quite quickly and Tsebang Moholo tested visiting keeper Kallen Waterman with a strong angled shot but the shot stopper showed safe hands. On 9 mins a cutting pass from Jacob Waters put Harry Minto clear but his final shot went wide. This was followed a minute later with a chance falling to Jamie Roberts but his final effort was blocked and cleared. Wolvo however took the lead on 13 mins when a superb through ball from Jae Wilson found Reece Chambers wide on the left who turned his man to magnificently smash into the far corner. A corner from Leams Jason Lourenco found Adam Horsky but his header was comfortably saved by Waterman. In another quick counter Leams Kieran Symington hit the foot of the post with a snap shot. With 4 mins remaining Reece Chambers was put clear by Waters but his lob although beating the keeper went high and wide.
H.T. 0-1
Wolvo wasted no time increasing their lead in the second period when in the 49th min a corner from Reece Chambers was superbly met by Jamie Roberts who first time volleyed home. On 60mins a cross from the right by Leams Lourenco was met first time by Louie Coulthard but his effort was well blocked by Sam Simpson. Simpson then went on a mazy dribble then passed to Reece Chambers who in turn put Harry Minto through but his strong angled drive was well saved by home keeper Ellis Gray. With 7 mins remaining Minto passed to Lewis Snaith who shot wide but he soon made amends a min later. A cross from Reece Chambers found Snaith who was in a perfect position to nod home Wolvos third and complete the scoring. An all round fine team performance.
